Valentines Day Protein Cake Pops

Ingredients

  • Cake
    • 1/2 cup Greek yogurt
    • 1 cup unsweetened applesauce
    • 1/4 cup sugar
    • 2 eggs
    • 1 tsp vanilla extract
    • 2/3 cup flour
    • 2 scoops Bowmar Nutrition Vanilla Bean protein powder
    • 1 tsp baking soda
    • Pinch of salt
  • Coating
    • Candy melts or chocolate for dipping
    • Sprinkles

Directions

  • Set your oven to 350
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine all cake ingredients
  • Once blended, pour your cake mix into a sprayed 9 x 9 pan
  • Bake for 10 – 12 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean
  • Once the cake is completely cooled, mash and mold your cake into balls or use a silicone mold
  • Place cake balls in the freezer for several hours
  • Insert your cake pop sticks into the cake balls once removed from the freezer
  • Place your cake balls back into the freezer while you prep the candy melts
  • Melt your candy melts in 30-second intervals until they are melted
  • Frost / coat your cake balls with the candy coating and add sprinkles if desired
  • Serve and enjoy!
