So yummy and perfect for fall!
Yields 6, double, or triple as desired
Ingredients
- Donuts
- 3/4 cup Kamut flour or 1 cup All-Purpose
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp pumpkin pie spice
- 1/4 cup coconut oil
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 cup pure pumpkin (not pie filling)
- Splash of milk
- 1/2 tsp almond extract (or vanilla)
- Maple Glaze
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 1/8 cup milk
- 1 TBSP butter
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- pinch of salt
- 2 TBSP maple syrup
- Optional: cinnamon sugar for topping
Directions
- Preheat oven to 375 and spray a donut mold
- Combine all donut ingredients in a large bowl
- Spoon batter into donut mold evenly (these will be very full)
- Cook for 10-12 minutes (until the top starts to get slightly crunchy)
- Let cool completely before making glaze
- Over medium heat, melt butter and brown sugar together. Remove from heat and add remaining ingredients
- Let the glaze sit for 5 minutes before drizzling over the donuts
- While the frosting is still wet, sprinkle cinnamon sugar topping if you’re using
- Enjoy!
