I have absolutely fell in love with sourdough and baking all the things with it! Oakley asked to make brownies the other day and they turned out perfect!
Ingredients
- 1 cup melted butter
- 3 cups sugar
- 1/2 cup sourdough discard
- 6 eggs
- 1 TBSP vanilla
- 2 3/4 cup al purpose flour (if you are using Kamut flour like I did, use 2 1/4 cup Kamut)
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 2 cups chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 1/2 tsp sea salt + more for topping
Directions
- Set oven to 350
- In a bowl, combine sugar and butter with a dough hook or wooden spoon. Add discard, eggs, and vanilla
- Add flour, baking powder, salt, and cocoa
- Spray a 12×17 jelly roll plan or 9 x 13 glass pan
- Spread batter and drop with chocolate chips. Gently press down the chips into the top of the batter
- Bake at 350 for 30 minutes in jelly roll pan or 35 minutes in glass pan
- Sprinkle with sea salt to finish
