Face and Body Skin Care Links + Tips : UPDATED

Improving my skin (face and body) was one of my NY resolutions for 2025. I poured myself into research, following skin product review influencers, testing and trying a ton of various products and brands on myself, and really focused on SLOWING down in the morning and evening and giving myself proper self-care. The system I have found works best for me. You do not need to copy or emulate it, and it can certainly be modified to any products you may already own / love. I am also not a dermatologist, and this is not medical advice.
The best advice I’ve ever heard on skin care is to think of your skin like a sponge. If you put soap on a dry sponge, it will take forever to absorb. If you put soap on a damp / wet sponge, it will absorb much quickly. Your skin is no different- if it’s THIRSTY, it will take a lot more time for your products to be absorbed (face or body)! Apply thinnest to thickest- don’t over complicate it!
I have never received more compliments on my skin than I have this year! I feel like I glow differently and I hope these tips can help you gain that confidence too 🙂

Tips

Your skin is your largest organ, and it reflects what you immerse yourself in regularly.
  • Remove as many preservatives, processed, and packaged foods as you can. Make absolutely everything you can at home
  • Eliminate all endocrine disrupters from your home and life: tox lotion, makeup, soap, shampoo, conditioner, deodorant, scented trash bags, synthetic candles and plug-ins, etc
  • My Non-Tox Blog
  • Drink plenty of water, but also electrolytes
  • Go without makeup as often as you can
  • Redlight as often as you can throughout the week for at least 20 minutes
    • Medical Grade RLT
    • RLT Face Mask
    • Therabody FacePRO
  • Use high-quality skin care products for the face and body
  • Eat fruits and vegetables high in beta carotene and carotenoids
  • Ensure hormones are checked and balanced
  • Infrared sauna at least twice a week for 20 – 30 minutes
  • Get adequate sunshine and sleep
*Before anyone has anything to say, yes, I get botox 2-3 times a year (something I’ve been very open about). I’ve also had several lasers and other treatments on my face, but that does NOT replace what you do day to day!
