Elk Philly Cheesesteak Pasta

Ingredients

  • 2lbs ground elk (or beef)
  • 2 green bell peppers- diced
  • 1 onion- diced
  • 2 TBSP minced garlic
  • 10oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 2 cups shredded provolone cheese
  • 2 cups beef or bone broth
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 12oz pasta (penne, rigatoni, or macaroni)

Directions

  • In a large skillet, brown meat over medium heat
  • While the meat is browning, boil your water for your pasta and cook per the directions 
  • Add the peppers, onions, and garlic to the meat once it is browned and drained. Cook together until vegetables are fragrant (6-7 minutes)
  • Add broth, cream cheese, and heavy cream to the meat mixture. Stir together until melted together 
  • Mix in cooked noodles and 1 cup cheese, stirring together until combined
  • Serve with additional cheese on top; add salt and pepper to taste
  • Enjoy!
