Homemade Coffee / Magnesium Scrub

The further and further I dive into the rabbit hole that is titled “the government is trying to poison us and disrupt our hormones every chance they get,” I’ve come to realize how many unnecessary ingredients are in our skincare. Our skin is our largest organ, so it’s no surprise that we are exposed to many endocrine disruptors when we apply these toxic ingredients. In my quest to remove as many toxins from my life as possible, I realized I needed to start making my skincare. And wouldn’t you know it, it’s the best body scrub I’ve ever used. My skin has never felt softer!

Use this before bed if you want to sleep like a baby (or your kids). Magnesium will help relax whoever is using it!

You probably have most, if not all, of the things you need already but if you don’t- I’ve linked what I use below. Also- it’s come to my attention that a lot of people don’t know Epsom salt is actually magnesium!

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup organic ground coffee
  • 1/4 cup Epsom salt (unscented)
  • 1/4 cup coconut oil– melted
  • 1 tsp organic vanilla extract (optional- I did not use)

Directions

  • Combine dry ingredients in a small bowl
  • In an airtight mason jar, melt coconut oil. Add vanilla if using
  • Using a funnel or spoon, add dry ingredients to a mason jar
  • Screw on the lid and shake to mix- add more oil if it is too dry or more coffee if too wet
  • Let cool completely before using

Please note- the coconut oil will make your shower or bath very slippery.
