Prenatal and Postpartum Bath Items

Fewer things relax me more at the end of the day than a night, relaxing, hot bath. During pregnancy, you are ALLOWED to take baths as long as you do not overheat. This is especially critical in the first trimester where overheating can result in an increased risk of neural tube defects. I aim for a 15-20 minute bath a few times a week as a way to relax during pregnancy. Soaking can also be extremely beneficial postpartum for healing and self care. As always, consult with your doctor if you have any questions

I wanted to share my favorite items to use during baths and after! A lot of these items would also make great gift ideas for a new mom. The baby always gets lots of presents and I feel that often times, the new mom is simple an after thought. Even a nice soak or scrub would be the kindest gesture and an amazing way to show a new mom you are thinking of her too, and not just her new baby!
