Ingredients
- 2 pounds ground elk (or beef)
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon ground black pepper
- 4 ounces butter
- 1 white onion- diced
- 2 cups beef broth
- ⅓ cup sour cream
- ⅓ cup white wine
- salt and ground black pepper to taste
- 3 cups egg noodles- cooked per the brand’s directions
Directions
- Add butter, elk, and onion to a skillet. Brown meat over medium heat, drain excess fat
- While meat is cooking, bring water to a boil and cook your noodles to al dente
- Stir in broth and bring to a boil. Lower the heat and let simmer for several minutesa
- Stir in sour cream, white wine, and salt and pepper
- Add cooked noodles and stir together
- Top with sage if desired
