Candy Cane Brownie Cookies

 

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 scoop chocolate protein powder
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder (o4 3/4 if not using protein powder)
  • 1/2 cup flour (or 3/4 cup if not using protein powder)
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 2 regular-sized candy canes – crushed 

Directions

  • In a bowl, melt butter and sugar together in the microwave for about 90 seconds
  • Allow the butter mixture to cool slightly
  • Add remaining ingredients minus chocolate chips and candy canes
  • Once the batter is mixed, fold in chocolate chips and 1/2 the crushed candy canes
  • Allow batter to cool in the fridge for at least an hour
  • Once the batter is chilled, turn oven on to 375, scoop about 3 TBSP worth of batter in a ball and place it on sprayed cookie sheet
  • Top with remaining candy cane pieces
  • Bake for 9 – 13 minutes (until the center isn’t gooey)
  • Let cool and enjoy!
