Who doesn’t love chipotle! I know we sure do but so many people often overlook how many calories are in their favorite burrito or bowl! I loved this recipe while pregnant and it is so easy to make in bulk for all the meal preppers out there! It also comes out to about 1/2 the cost of a chipotle bowl plus you don’t have to leave your house in order to get it and the macros are so much better!
Ingredients
4oz browned ground meat of choice- I used venison
1/2 cup spanish rice- cooked
2 TBSP guacamole- store bought (can be homemade if you choose)
4 TBSP taco sauce (again, store bought brand)
Additional toppings: onions, peppers, sour cream etc (just note that the more you add, the higher the total calories)
Directions
In a bowl, add browned meat and mix your taco sauce in to the meat. Mix in any additional vegetables you wish to add at this time. Add Spanish rice (Uncle Ben’s microwavable rice works great and is super fast), Top with guacamole and enjoy!
It’s important to note, for logging macros, that you should log in the way you are measuring. If you are measuring rice cooked, it needs to be logged as cooked rice. I personally log and track everything once it is cooked! This is also a great introductory meal to anyone who wants to experience wild game for the first time.
