Creamy Venison Fusilli Bake

Ingredients

  • Pasta Mixture
    • 12oz noodle of choice (I chose Fusilli)
    • 8oz cream cheese, softened
    • 1 cup sour cream
    • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese, divided
    • 1 tsp garlic powder
    • 1/2 tsp onion powder
    • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Meat Sauce
    • 3lbs ground venison (or meat of choice)
    • 1 small onion, diced
    • 3 TBSP minced garlic
    • 2 jars (24oz) marinara or spaghetti sauce
    • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
    • Salt and pepper to taste

Directions

  • Set oven to 350
  • Cook Fusilli according to the package directions
  • Drain and set aside
  • In a large skillet, brown venison and onions
  • Add the garlic and cook for 30 seconds
  • Stir in marinara sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper and let it simmer for 5 – 10 minutes
  • In a large bowl, combine remaining pasta mixture ingredients (cream cheese, sour cream, 1/2 the parmesan, garlic powder, onion powder, salt and pepper)
  • Stir until smooth and combine with the noodles
  • In a 9 x 13, spread half of the meat sauce, and all of the cream cheese noodles, top with the remaining meat sauce, and sprinkle the remaining parmesan
  • Bake for 20 – 25 minutes or until bubbly and the cheese has melted

Just made this today for lunch and it’s awesome! My husband loved it as well. Good thing because it made a ton and he’ll be taking it to work for a few days. Thank you for posting this recipe!
