Sourdough Shortbread Cookies

These are insanely easy and such a great way to use your sourdough starter!

Ingredients

  • 2 sticks of butter
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 1 TBSP milk
  • pinch of salt
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/2 cup sourdough starter
  • sprinkles for finishing

Directions

  • Cream the butter, sugar, and salt together in a stand mixer. Add the egg yolks, vanilla, milk, and starter. Mix until all combined
  • Gradually add in the flour. Once combined, cover and store for at least 2 hours in the fridge
  • Set oven to 300
  • Roll into balls and place cookie balls on a parchment covered cookie sheet
  • Bake for 15 minutes
  • Once baked, press with a fork and top with sprinkles
  • Enjoy when cooled!
