As a busy mom of two, I am always a huge fan of an easy (and delicious), home cooked meal! As always, you can sub the venison for any other meat you have!
Ingredients
- 2lbs ground venison- browned
- 1 medium onion- diced
- 1 TBSP italian seasoning
- 1 TBSP garlic powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 5 cups tomato pasta sauce (roughly 2 jars)
- 500g rigatoni pasta (about 1lb)
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
Directions
- Set oven to 350
- In a large saucepan, brown ground venison and onion over medium heat until browned and onion has softened. Drain any juices
- Add seasonings
- Add the pasta sauce and cook on low for 5 minutes, set aside
- Meanwhile, bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add pasta, cook until al dente
- Reserve 1/2 cup pasta water and drain pasta. Stir reserved pasta water into meat
- Combine pasta and pasta sauce
- Pouring lightly greased 9×13
- Cover with foil and bake for 20 minutes
- Enjoy!
