I don’t know about you, but when I am trying to increase my milk supply, I am usually struggling to hit my calories each day (as it is recommended by the ACOG and OBs to eat 500 calories above maintenance, and this includes working out). These cookies will not only help you hit your calories each day but also increase your milk supply. They are extremely delicious, filling, and easy to make!
Ingredients
- 3 cups oats (I used old fashioned)
- 1.5 cups wheat flour
- 5 TBSP brewer’s yeast
- 3 TBSP ground flaxseed or chia seeds
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 12 TBSP melted butter
- 4 TBSP coconut oil
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup dark chocolate chips
Directions
- Set oven to 350
- In a bowl, melt butter and add oil, egg, yeast, seeds, baking powder, cinnamon, salt, and sugar
- Once combined, add in flour and oats, 1 cup at a time
- Fold in chocolate chips
- On a sprayed cookie sheet, spoon 1 inch balls and flatten, makes roughly 24 cookies (I needed 2 cookie sheets)
- Bake for 10-14 minutes or until tops are slightly golden brown
- Let cool before storing in an air tight container
