Big Mac Elk Sliders

Ingredients

  • Big Mac Copycat Sauce
    • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
    • 2 TBSP sweet pickle relish
    • 1 TBSP yellow mustard
    • 1/2 tsp granulated sugar
    • 1 tsp white vinegar
  • Elk Sliders
    • 1lb ground elk (or ground meat of choice)
    • 1/2 cup finely chopped onions
    • 1 tsp garlic powder
    • 12-count Hawaiian rolls
    • 6 slices American cheese or 1 cup shredded cheese (I prefer shredded cheese)
    • 2 TBSP butter- melted
    • Pickle slices (optional)
    • Lettuce (optional)
    • More onions (optional)

Directions

  • Set your oven to 350
  • Slice Hawaiian rolls in half and place them on a baking sheet covered with parchment paper
  • Brush the bottom buns and toast them in the oven for 4-5 minutes
  • Remove and set aside
  • While the buns are toasting, mix your sauce and brown the meat
  • Mix in the onions and garlic powder to the meat while it is browning, and drain any excess grease
  • Spread some of the sauce on the bottom halves of the buns and layer with ground elk, cheese, pickles, onions, and more sauce
  • Place the top half of the buns back on and brush with more butter
  • Bake in the oven for 5-7 minutes or until the cheese is melted
  • Remove from the oven, lift the tops, and add lettuce if using
  • Replace the tops and serve immediately
