Ingredients
- Big Mac Copycat Sauce
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 2 TBSP sweet pickle relish
- 1 TBSP yellow mustard
- 1/2 tsp granulated sugar
- 1 tsp white vinegar
- Elk Sliders
- 1lb ground elk (or ground meat of choice)
- 1/2 cup finely chopped onions
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 12-count Hawaiian rolls
- 6 slices American cheese or 1 cup shredded cheese (I prefer shredded cheese)
- 2 TBSP butter- melted
- Pickle slices (optional)
- Lettuce (optional)
- More onions (optional)
Directions
- Set your oven to 350
- Slice Hawaiian rolls in half and place them on a baking sheet covered with parchment paper
- Brush the bottom buns and toast them in the oven for 4-5 minutes
- Remove and set aside
- While the buns are toasting, mix your sauce and brown the meat
- Mix in the onions and garlic powder to the meat while it is browning, and drain any excess grease
- Spread some of the sauce on the bottom halves of the buns and layer with ground elk, cheese, pickles, onions, and more sauce
- Place the top half of the buns back on and brush with more butter
- Bake in the oven for 5-7 minutes or until the cheese is melted
- Remove from the oven, lift the tops, and add lettuce if using
- Replace the tops and serve immediately
