This super hearty meal took less than 20 minutes to prepare and was loved by the kids, too!
Ingredients
- 2lbs ground antelope (or any other ground meat)
- 1 medium onion- chopped
- 2 TBSP minced garlic
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1 cup uncooked orzo pasta
- 2 14oz tomato sauce cans
- 3/4 cup broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
- 2 cups (packed) baby spinach
- Salt and pepper to taste
Directions
- Add ground antelope and break it apart in a large pot or Dutch oven. Cook on medium-high for 5-6 minutes
- Add chopped onion to meat and cook together for another 5 minutes
- To the meat, add garlic, Italian seasoning, pasta sauce, broth, cream, Worcestershire sauce, and uncooked orzo
- Continue cooking and stirring for 10 minutes (turn the heat down to bring it to a slow boil)
- Remove the pot from the heat and stir in parmesan and spinach- cover the pot for a few minutes to allow the cream to thicken
- Enjoy!
