Okay, these were seriously the best crackers I’ve ever made. I don’t know if it was the food processor, the seasonings, or a combination of both, but these were AMAZING!
Ingredients
- Seasoning Topping
- 1 tsp nutritional yeast
- 1 tsp poultry seasoning
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp onion powder
- Crackers
- 2 cups Kamut flour (or 2.5 all-purpose flour)
- 6 TBSP salted butter (cold and cut into cubes)
- 3 tsp baking powder
- 3 TSBP sugar
- 2 TBSP oil of choice
- 1/3 cup water
- 1 tsp poultry seasoning
- 1/2 tsp salt
Directions
- In a bowl, mix the topping ingredients and set aside
- Preheat oven to 400
- In a bowl or food processor, add the flour and cold butted. Pulse until the butter is cut into the flour in a crumble mixture
- Add salt, sugar, baking powder, and poultry seasoning- pulse until combined
- With the food processor running, slowly add oil and water. Blend until a dough ball forms
- On the counter, roll out parchment paper (split the dough in half and use 2 standard-sized cookie sheets or 1 large)
- Roll the dough to 1/4 inch thick
- Use a knife or wheeled knife to cut crackers
- Transfer parchment paper to a cookie sheet
- Spread dough with seasoning topping mixture
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, until the edges turn golden brown
- Slide of cookie sheet to cool and enjoy!
