I started an indoor herb garden a few months ago and my thyme has been growing amazing! It’s super fun for the kids too! This combination of flavors is super unique but it all works- try it and let me know what you think!
Ingredients
Cake Ingredients
- 1 stick of room temperature butter
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup cream cheese
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 3 large eggs
- 1 1/4 cup kamut flour
- 1 1/2 tsp baking poder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 cups fresh or frozen blueberries
- 1 TSPN lemon zest
Lemon Thyme Glaze
- 2/3 cup powdered sugar
- 3 TBSP lemon juice
- 2 tsp fresh thyme leaves
Directions
- Preheat oven to 375. Grease a 9 x 5 loaf pan
- In a large bowl, beat together sugar, lemon zest, and butter. Add cream cheese, vanilla, and eggs
- Add the flour, baking powder, and salt
- Fold in blueberries
- Spoon all batter into loaf pan and bake 50 minutes or until center is just set
- Let cool before glazing
- Poke holes into loaf
- Whisk the glaze ingredients together and drizzle over loaf
