Hopefully my first of many sourdough recipes on the blog! I am finally comfortable and in a place to where I feel like I can keep a sourdough starter alive again! I am learning so much about sourdough and the one thing that I have learned is that you have to constantly be removing excess discard from your starter or else you will have to feed it more and more flour each day! ]
Ingredients:
- 1 cup sourdough discard
- 1 cup flour
- 1/4 cup oil or melted butter + some for brushing
- 1/4 tsp salt
- Everything bagel seasoning for topping
Directions:
- Set oven to 350
- In a bowl, combine discard, flour, oil or butter, and salt
- Knead until shiny / smooth
- Cover with dishtowel for 20 minutes
- On a parchment covered cookie sheet, roll dough thin and slice into squares with pizza cutter
- Brush oil or butter and top with EBB seasoning
- Bake 15-20 minutes or until golden brown
