Sourdough Discard Everything Bagel Crackers

Hopefully my first of many sourdough recipes on the blog! I am finally comfortable and in a place to where I feel like I can keep a sourdough starter alive again! I am learning so much about sourdough and the one thing that I have learned is that you have to constantly be removing excess discard from your starter or else you will have to feed it more and more flour each day! ]

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup sourdough discard
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/4 cup oil or melted butter + some for brushing
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • Everything bagel seasoning for topping

Directions:

  • Set oven to 350
  • In a bowl, combine discard, flour, oil or butter, and salt
  • Knead until shiny / smooth
  • Cover with dishtowel for 20 minutes
  • On a parchment covered cookie sheet, roll dough thin and slice into squares with pizza cutter
  • Brush oil or butter and top with EBB seasoning
  • Bake 15-20 minutes or until golden brown
