It’s no secret we spend a ton of time outside. A lot of our time spent outside is without toys (or with simple household items) but for at least an hour a day, Oakley is playing with some sort of outdoor toy. During our spring and summer, I like to spend 7am – 8am outside before it gets too hot, have breakfast, go back outside to do the chicken chores, spend an hour on our shaded patio before nap / quiet time, and then at least another 90 minutes in the afternoon. Most of it is in the shade with bursts in the direct sun for Vitamin D exposure. If you will be outside for an extended period of time, I highly recommend a mineral sunscreen or sun shield.

I know it goes without saying but I feel it is my duty to remind all parents that drawing can happen in an instant. The children’s CPR course I am affiliated with also has drowning prevention information as well (code sarahbowmar10)
